scratch that unbelieve (sort of) ended with wings and freedom a lilting, happy, hopeful where do I go from here? the plan was to move on to a second book working title: more where I’d share my bigger, lovelier, more expansive thoughts about god and spirituality and the world but jaded wouldn’t leave me the hell alone

I shared an unfinished version of that poem ^ a few months ago, but that's the final edition that's in my book THAT IS NOW OUT IN THE WORLD. Here's the next poem in the book as a bonus:
turns out (a haiku) I have a whole lot more to get off my chest so here we fucking go * WARNING: there's a good bit of cussing in jaded. Here's a third poem explaining why: fuck yeah “sorry for all the swears but I’m a recovering Good Religious Girl and it’s an important part of my recovery!” —D.L. Mayfield * I'm so excited to get jaded into your hands. I think you're going to like her. A ginormous THANK YOU to David Morris and Lake Drive Books for making my publish-before-Christmas dreams comes true. p.s. D.L. Mayfield wrote the endorsement on my back cover, and I'm so freaking happy about it. Also, I LOVE her substack and highly recommend it.
Thank you!! I feel bad too (after the fact, I didn’t really think about it before). My fam didn’t order anything for Christmas for anyone so maybe that will help even it out. 😬 Maybe I should try reading my own books when I wake up every morning at 4:00 and can’t go back to sleep. 😫🤣
At least, after all those years of no cussing, it’s gotta come out. And there’s plenty to cuss about.
