So I wrote a whole dang post yesterday about putting my book on sale so y’all could afford it and blah blah blah, but Amazon only put the EBOOK on sale, not the PRINT BOOK, and my plans were foiled.
THE PAPERBACK IS SIX DOLLARS NOW, I PROMISE
It will stay at this price until midnight ET. (or until next year whatever Amazon wants)
Twelve of y’all bought the ebook yesterday—THANK YOOOOUUU. If you’ve got a spare $3 to support me in that way, I would so appreciate it. I get to keep $2.06 of every purchase.
If you’ve got $6, I’d love for you to buy the paperback. (I only get 6¢ royalty at this price point, but I just really want you to have it in your hands.)
If you have zero dollars (and you’re divorced), send me a DM on IG, and I’ll send you a free copy (US only).
HAVE A BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND!
I recently bought the kindle version and it is excellent. I remember my first encounter with you was winning a giveaway years ago when you were still a missionary in Cambodia and you sent me the most gorgeous rainbow elephant ornaments and handmade bracelets that women in your community had made. As I re encountered you here on substack and have read your vulnerable and strong poetry, I have seen myself reflected on more than one occasion. What a gift to know you Marla, even if it’s only as strangers having similar experiences across the world.
