deep thoughts
Someone submitted a very lovely poem for my next book, poem art therapy, last week. But it was 80 lines long, and I had to remind them that I was looking for poems with 10 or fewer lines.
“Ahhh,” she said. “I probably don’t have any that short to be honest. Deep thoughts require many words lol.”
Me: *looks at my books of poetry filled with short poems and considers how to respond*
