father knows best prior to meeting my ex I had just broken up with two other guys I’d sort of been seeing them at the same time and couldn’t choose between them so I asked my dad which one he liked better neither, he said guy #1 is a womanizer and guy #2 is immature thanks dad, I said I appreciate you so much then married a guy who was both
Last Thursday morning, I was stretching on my yoga mat when a memory popped into my head. I got up, grabbed my phone, sat on the side of my bed, and typed this poem into my notes app exactly as you see it here. (I wrote the title immediately after.)
What in the hell? Like how does the human brain work like that? Where did that come from? Mind blown.
I was so happy about it, then had to wait a whole dang week to share it with y’all lol. Working on some fun projects which include unlocking/accessing a whoooole lot more memories. If you’d like a more intimate look at my process, become a paid subscriber and join the fun!
I say it doesn't matter where it comes from, it's out of your head and played thru your horn, like a good jazz solo.
The body-mind is a busy place!
I am so glad you let this poem come through you so that you could "see it" and give it life. Thank you for sharing it and keep going!
I remember when I was in my 20's and seeing a Shaman (who was a friend who studied shamanism to help with writer's block... then became a full-fledged Shaman) and how my journey of all my ex boyfriends came in front of me like a conveyer belt of repeated patterns of abuse programmed in me from my childhood with a narcissistic father who continuously cut me off.....
and how when I got it all out in front of me and wrote and wrote and wrote until I could "see" it .... my healing began... and very soon after I met my soulmate - and I don't mean that lightly -- and we have been married for 20 years... and more in love than ever.
