it was 8:26am as
I sat on the couch

coffee in hand and
suddenly gasped

SHIT!

it’s thursday and
I didn’t post a poem!

and then I swear
I checked my phone

because I exhaled deeply
phewwwwww

IT’S ONLY WEDNESDAY

I walked over to my desk and
wrote “poem for tomorrow”

on my to do list
and carried on 

until my friend Marvin 
tweeted at me just now

WHERE IS OUR POEM?

and I was going to tell him
IT’S WEDNESDAY DUMMY

but that would be me
