I don’t travel a whole lot these days. I used to (see: that time we went to 52 zoos in 52 weeks and that time we lived in SE Asia for 5 years).

Okay, so I just googled 52 zoos in 52 weeks so I could link to the video of our fam being on the Early Show, and AI gave me a fun overview of our adventures, then answered the question: Has anyone else tried a similar zoo challenge?

Answer: It is possible that other families have taken on similar challenges, perhaps with slightly different parameters (e.g., a certain number of zoos in a year, or zoos within a specific region). However, these stories may not have garnered the same level of media attention or dedicated online presence as the Taviano family's, according to a wfmynews2.com article.

Love it.

Anyway.

I don’t travel very much these days. But a dear friend of mine and her husband fly me to Vegas once a year for a visit (except this is my second visit this year lol).

I don’t sleep well the night before I’m getting on a plane. Like I can’t fall asleep no matter how tired I am. So I got maybe two hours of sleep before getting up at 4am yesterday.

Everything went smoothly until I took this selfie on the second plane, then looked around and realized no one else boarded after me, and then the pilot deplaned us due to an uneasy feeling he had about a certain piece of equipment.

We got a new plane, everything went smoothly, this photo makes me so happy because I love blue and I love clouds, and we landed just an hour behind schedule.

Then the fun began. (if you’d like to support my work as a writer/artist, paying for a substack subscription is a great way to do that) (if you can’t afford it—which, believe me, I get—text/DM me and I fill you in)
