Ok I need to know SC's archaic divorce laws (and if they're anything like Ohio's ridiculous buying/selling a house law, where a woman, if married, has to have her husband sign with her GROSS). I admire what you've been able to do with all the pain in your story, and glad to be joining in the journeying now!
There’s a one-year required separation period before you can get divorced. My attorney said it’s the “family values” lobbyists trying to keep marriages together. 🙄 Then with all the Covid delays, instead of getting divorced in September 7, 2021, I had to wait until February 18, 2022. Seventeen exhausting months.
Oh no! Of course that also creates situations where people get locked into abusive situations for even longer, ughhhh....but that never happens according to "family values" people I guess. 17 long, exhausting months indeed.
Love the honesty! It has been quite the year and I have no idea how it is already over! So thankful I found your writing this year (ok technically last year, but potato potawto), and I can’t wait to see how this year brings all the joy (just putting it out there❤️).

Hooray for more subscribers! It's gonna be great!
