good flesh for most of my life I tried so hard to push down my “sin” nature when all that time it was really just my “nature” nature and there wasn’t a damn thing wrong with it
one of my first realizations in my long questioning/curiosity about how i was raised is just encountering babies and toddlers and anyone under say 10 years old and being like "there's no way they're sinning, they can't even formulate thoughts about the world yet, they're just overwhelmed and need help instead of being shamed about their perfectly natural behavior".
yeah or people saying that universalism is wrong but at the same time saying those who died before they could understand god are for sure in heaven. which is it?? 🤨
I can't wait to read your new book and relate so much to your writing. I definitely am still working through the "sin" nature vs. "nature" nature...turns out I'm allowed to feel all my feelings, that it isn't selfish to love myself and take care of my body, that I can listen to and trust my intuition, etc. I know you know... it feels so good to know we aren't alone.
