Hurricane Helene has killed 189 people and counting. My family lost power for 4.5 days—and all the food in our fridge and chest freezer—but we are safe and so is our home.
I have no patience for people who say God protected them from the storm while 189 people are dead and hundreds are still missing.
Either God saved you AND killed those 189 or he didn’t kill them AND he didn’t save you.
In what universe does an all-powerful being get 100% of the credit and 0% of the blame?
I get that - but how do we express relief/thankfulness when we do escape? There must be a right way to do that.
