Haha I love this, I sometimes go to coffee shops but mostly write from couch or dining table!

I wrote this several years ago. These days it's 50/50 couch/dining room table (which is my desk and not a table for dining).

Yes! Very similar, lol. Our dining room table is my desk from which I temporarily remove things when we have people over to eat :D

This made me laugh because I do quite a bit of writing on my bed (it’s not great for my back!) and my kids NEVER believe that I am doing work so they are always interrupting me constantly. I’m honestly a pro at writing a lot in 25 minute bursts and then coming back and editing later.

I haven't written on my bed in a long time (I wrote this excerpt several years ago) for that same reason. I write 30 minutes at a time! (but 25 sounds more fun lol)

Where do I write? Well just now in a train. Normally sat on an my usual armchair in the living room, occasionally in the garden, very occasionally in the car (when I’m not driving!), in a friends living room while she knits, on a hotel bed because if I wait till the end of the trip the idea will float away…. Anywhere I happen to be with the resources.

This was the call-out (call-in?) I needed. The myth of the “perfect writing setup” is so real, but this was such a good reminder that words can happen anywhere—on a couch, in a car, at the kitchen table between bites of lunch. (One of my favorite places is my bed, to be honest.) Love the honesty and the nudge to just START.
