Hey, congrats on getting your book into other peoples’ hands, scary as that is!!

I never knew that definition of prodigal until now. It’s fabulous and it makes sense why evangelicals would be terrified of it, poor souls.

I always thought of it in terms of the words my own spiritual abusers used against me which was ‘a waster of potential ‘ or ‘an investment with disappointing return’. But I absolutely love the correlation and highlighting the ‘easy’ way that those in privileged spiritual spaces can cut away others as if they are most worthy to sift.

Also, I love that your book is spreading into new hands. It’s so exciting!!! 💜💜💜

I also think wayward. But I guess the prodigal son was wayward in those specific ways, so that also makes sense.
